Mack & Myer for Hire?

Purple Monster (2/8/03 8:37 pm)
Does anyone remember this early 60's TV show. It starred Joey Faye and Mickey Deems as the title, a pair of slapstick bumblers who ran a kind of employment agency with themselves as the workforce. Deems dressed like Buster Keaton and Faye as Lou Costello. Each episode ran about 15 min. Any information about this show would be appreciated.

Thanks for that info CC. This show was one of my earliest TV memories as a kid. The reason the program intrigues me is that in the 2 episodes I have, during the closing credits, Mack and Myer are riding their motorcycle (with Myer in the sidecar) through what could be New York City. Then the credits list that it was filmed at HEMPSTEAD FILM STUDIOS. Could that be Hempstead, Long Island? I grew up in WEST HEMPSTEAD. I'm wondering if this show was made in my area.(where I still live BTW)

To answer my own question I'd like to say that Mack and Myer were indeed filmed in Hempstead, Long Island, New York in a building that was once an A&P Supermarket. I got this info from Rich Butler a great TV history sage who frequently dispenses his wisdom at www.trparty2.com/wwwboard/ A neat site for TV info. Thanks again Rich!
