This is the first time I've writen anything on this board since I only found this site last nite!I am 26yrs.old and a huge fan of the old FLASH GORDON and BUCK ROGERS serials and their star LARRY ''BUSTER'' CRABBE!! I would love to hear from anyone who loves this stuff like I do no matter what race, color, creed, sex or age you are. A question has just come into my mind.About 10 yrs.ago their was an ongoing advertisment in FILMFAX mag. for the ''PAST FUTURE''series which were model kits of the old FLASH GORDON type spaceships. Does anyone out there have any old issues of FILMFAX that they could check for the address and name of this company for me?

Some very detailed resin models were made of two of the Flash Gordon ships. You can find them on sale at a reasonable price at Bruce David's www.swapsale.com

I had the luck to be at a convention many years ago, where Buster Crabbe showed up to sign autographs for a short time. He was a very nice outspoken man, it was a real thrill to meet the "original" Flash Gordon. I have the three Flash serials and Buck Rogers, and find it fun to watch these every so often, very nostalgiac! I have a still signed by Buster and Jean Rogers (again, a very nice Lady, met at another convention) which l can email to you if interested. RandyTony Bolton (12/27/02 12:31 pm)
The VCI FGCTU DVD has some nice interviews of Buster. As a health fanatic He appeared to be a heavy smoker which is surprising. As he ended one interview on the DVD he lit up and started coughing. We may have lost him prematurely.Bill Hufford (1/4/03 9:48 am)
